Best in the country, that’s CBN’s Cindy Lee Sze Wern of Form 1N. Cindy beat contestants from all over Malaysia to be the sole gold medalist for English (Form 1) in the University of New South Wales International Competition and Assessment for Schools 2009. At the medal award ceremony held at the Parkroyal Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, on 7 November 2009, Cindy received her medal and certificate from Datuk Ir. Dr Wee Ka Siong, the Deputy Minister of Education. This year’s competition had 44,000 students vying for gold medals in Science, English, Mathematics and Computer Skills from Year 3 to Upper Six.
